My Dolphin is doing wheelies

Our robots are programmed to do a wheelie to assist themselves in turning.

However, if it’s doing a wheelie while it's moving backward or forward, then we may have an issue.

Let's look into it:

  • There might be air in the robot's system – flip it over before placing the robot in the pool to let all the air out.

  • Check that the pool chemicals are balanced:
It is important for the chemicals to be within the recommended range to preserve the longevity of the robot’s components.

  • Make sure the blue cable has enough slack and isn't pulling the robot back.
To check this, measure the pool’s longest side and corroborate that the cable’s length coincides.

Still popping wheelies.

  • Now would also be an appropriate time to check the robot's filters and make sure they're not blocked or clogged.
The Ultra-Fine filter should be white–if it's brown or green, clean it with a pressure washer.
If it doesn’t turn white– you may need to replace it. Contact us here for more information.

And finally, let’s clean the impeller. Click here to see how to clean your impeller.

First, unplug the power supply from the outlet.
Use a Phillips screwdriver, not a power drill.

If you notice debris trapped in the impeller, open it, remove the debris, and reassemble.

If the robot still isn’t working as it should, please contact us here, and one of our experts will take care of it for you.
