My Dolphin is doing wheelies
Our robots are programmed to do a wheelie to assist themselves in turning.
However, if it’s doing a wheelie while it's moving backward or forward, then there may be an issue.
Let's look into it:
- There may be excess air in the robot's system – flip the robot over before placing it in the pool to let any excess air out.
- Check that the pool chemicals are balanced. It is important for the chemicals to be within the recommended range to preserve the longevity of the robot’s components and for the robot to function properly.
- Make sure the blue cable has enough slack and isn't pulling the robot back.
To check this, measure the pool’s longest side and allow this amount of cable in the pool.
- Check the robot's filters to make sure they are not clogged. Click here to see how to clean the filter.
The Ultra-Fine filter should be white–if it's brown or green, clean it with a garden hose on the highest pressure.
If it doesn’t turn white– it is likely due to be replaced. Visit our Replacement Spare Parts page for more information.
- Clean the impeller. Click here to see how to clean your impeller.
- First, unplug the power supply from the outlet. Use a Phillips screwdriver, not a power drill.
- If you notice debris trapped in the impeller, open it, remove the debris, and reassemble the impeller.
