If your Dolphin robotic pool cleaner begins its cycle but fails to complete it or stops shortly after, or if the Power Supply displays a red light (indicating an error with the robot), please follow these troubleshooting steps to attempt to resolve the issue:

Note: Before turning the robot on, it must be submerged in at least three feet of water.

Does the Power Supply Unit turn off as soon as the robot stops? If so, the issue may lie with the Power Supply. Please click here and follow the relevant troubleshooting steps.

If the Power Supply unit remains on, but the Dolphin stops the cleaning cycle prematurely:

Step #1: Restart the Power Supply Unit:

  1. Unplug the black cable from the socket.
  2. Disconnect the blue cable from the power supply.
  3. Plug the power supply into a different electrical socket.
  4. Reattach the blue cable to the power supply and attempt to turn the unit on.

Step #2: Check the impeller:

If debris is trapped in the impeller, open it, remove the debris, and reassemble it. For safety, use a Phillips screwdriver. Do not use a power drill. Click here to see how to clean your impeller.

If your robot model features a Power Stream mobility system (located on top of the Impeller), please check the plastic cover around the motor unit and the grilles on the sides of your model for visible debris and remove any debris found.

Step #3: Check the tracks:

Turn the robot upside down and try rotating the brushes by hand. Does it make any unusual noises? If it does, take a closer look. Check the tracks, brushes, and every nook and cranny for any obstructions or visible damage. Click here to see how to clean the tracks.

If the robot remains unresponsive, please get in touch with your local dealer to determine if they offer repair services. Click here to find your nearest local dealer
