Does the water conditions affect the efficiency of my Dolphin ?
Yes, imbalanced chemical levels can affect the Dolphin robot's efficiency. Imbalanced chemicals can also cause premature wear and tear to the robot's components.
For example, if there is not enough chlorine, small deposits of algae can clog the Dolphin filters and limit the motor's power. If the pH levels in the pool are higher than recommended, the robot will not climb the walls.
These are the recommended chemical levels:
Chlorine | Maximum 4 PPM |
pH | 7.0 - 7.8 PPM |
Temperature | 6-35°C (43-95°F) {below 15°C (59°F) climbing performance may be affected} |
NaCl | Maximum = 5000 PPM |
After doing a chemical shock treatment it is important to wait 24 hours before putting the robot back in the pool.
