Can I use my Dolphin with an extension cord or surge protector?
The Dolphin is not intended to be used with an extension lead, surge protectors, or any other electrical components other than those originally manufactured by Maytronics.
Always use an electrical socket protected with a Residual Current Device (RCD); (this will safeguard the power supply from unexpected power surges). Using an extension lead with your Dolphin robot cleaner can lead to overheating, voltage drops, and damage to both the lead and the robot. It can also expose the device to electrical hazards, particularly if the lead lacks proper earthing.
