Will my corded Dolphin clean the stairs?
Most of our corded Dolphin robots are not programmed to clean steps, benches, and tanning ledges, except for our updated S-line models. Our cordless robot models, the EON and the Liberty 600, can clean steps, benches, and tanning ledges.
Our corded S-line models were recently updated to include a jet step cleaning feature. This feature uses step-detection technology to climb steps and automatically activate a water jet while descending to flush out dirt and debris. Click here to read more.
Our robots without a step-cleaning feature require a minimum water depth of 31-41 inches to function properly. If the water level covering the robot is less than this, the Dolphin will not be able to clean and will back down. The Dolphin will only be able to clean the stairs if the entire robot is on the step and if the water level is deep enough.
To clean the debris on the stairs, we recommend brushing the dirt from the stairs onto the bottom of the pool for the robot to reach the debris.
