Great and with a couple of enhancements would be superb.

It really does a great job! Very great time saver! Best features I NEED and use: edge clean, remote wifi management, LARGE basket, removable cloth debris retainer in bottom of basket (super important), fetch to side of pool, basket full indicator, bottom of basket drops away to empty 95% of large debris/leaves. NEEDED to be best-in-breed: when an alert condition occurs, a separate text message alert needs to be sent to my mobile phone, maytronics confirms this is not presently a feature. Phone alert needs to occur when basket is full, cleaner hung/immobile on object (eg. pool drain) in pool, cleaner is vertical/upside down…this isn’t frequent, but it happens and I’d like to be quickly alerted so I can fix it. . I’ve had two M600 units for a month at two pools, each having significant live oak leaves dropping into it. Instructions did not suggest removing cloth debris retainer when so much debris is in bottom of pool that it clogs up in this debris inlet, preventing the basket from filling and making the cleaner almost useless. HOWEVER, with the cloth debris retainer removed (easy to do) then the cleaner will FILL THE BASKET COMPLETELY with oak leaves. THIS ALLOWS CLEANER TO PICK UP HEAVY DEBRIS LOAD, AVOIDING HAVING TO DIP ALL THE BOTTOM LEAVES OUT. Once leaves are singly scattered on the bottom, it will fill basket with cloth retainer reinstalled.Since I have several cleaners with wifi feature, an additional need is to be able to select among several uniquely named cleaners, thus allowing simple remote start/stop, etc. via the phone app.

New friends...

We have an older bot that was left here when we bought the house 11 years ago. Didn't work all that well and didn't get used much for that reason. Outside of Tucson we get frequent wind and lately it's been a lot more and with construction going on the dust has been non-stop. Vacuuming 3x a week or more wasn't in my game plan. After a recommendation to get a Dolphin I began researching and became overwhelmed with the choices and taking notes on everything just confused the issue. Then I found a chart on-line done by Pelican Pools in Morris Plains, NJ. that made the selection easier. I also called and peppered John and Ricky with a lot of questions. All answered competently. I also found a video done by them and that was also a great help. After a follow-on with several more questions I chose the M600. Some other models would have worked well, but the M600 (and its counterpart Active 60) was the only 3-motor version that had a basket instead of cartridges. We don't have a lot of big leaves here but we have a lot of little leaves and some gigundous bugs and I thought a basket would be a better choice. I'm pretty happy with the choice... the caddy is a bonus; now I don't have to haul a control box, cable AND a bot to the pool edge separately. So far so good. Thanks Maytronics and a BIG THANKS to Pelican Pools' Ricky and John for their help, their rebate, free shipping, and extended warranty service.

M600 & Pelican Shops

Some years ago I had a pool robot from another main brand and was quite disappointed... It continously hung up on the pool drains although I replaced the regular drain covers with robot compatible drain covers...still problematic until I ended up making my own covers that allowed the robot to work. That robot also didn't really clean the sides of the pool well and even the floor covering wasn't perfect. It hated the beach entry and the island. So, I went back to a suction based system for a few years...obviously also with its limitations.... Last year, I ended up researching pool robots again and found the Maytronics brand, but was highly confused which one to buy. They have so many and so many people have different opinions about each of them. Then I found John Kozas's very factual explanation of all Maytronic pool robots on You Tube. It is excellent. I decided on the M600. Although I live in California, I reached out to John @ Pelican Shops on the other side of the country. https://pelicanshops1.com. John is very competent and confirmed that they do the robot repairs inhouse. I bought the M600 in the first call with him. I have had the robot now for about a year and I can say: it is a work horse and very well made. I have a complicated free form 40ft pool with beach entry, island, rocks going into the pool in some places, and it gets quite some leaves in the fall and winter. In about a year, the M600 only got confused once on the beach and just stopped. So, no issue! Got an alarm on the app and put it back in the water. That's it. Otherwise really good! Would buy it again and John and Pelican were a good choice for me. The attached photo was taken in the winter, and you can see the areas where it cleaned already and where not....only throw it in the pool once per week in the winter when the pool is not in use.

Love this little pool cleaning robot

We love our M600. Affectionately called "Dori". At first I was a little concerned that her leaf basked was too small, as we have a lot of leaves but it's working out well. Dori does great on walls and cleans the scum line with no problems. Does have issues in the pool bend radius but that's a small issue. Overall does great job and is easy to clean up.

Works really well

The fact that I had to send it back for repair 2ce in 2 years is concerning. Only have to use it 1ce a week and it is housed under cover. It cleans great. It’s my 2nd Dolfin in 6 years so I hope a short life isn’t usual. My neighbor is on his first and it’s 10 years and working well. Just doesn’t have the new features Like your customer service. Very helpful.
