I bought this system in desperation after fighting with mold, algae and bad water for two years. There was so much chlorine in my pool even the dragonflies avoided flying over it. In a fit of boredom, I bought a 27 foot diameter AGP from a dealer in 2020 and after about 3 months of daily use ran out of there “included for a YEAR!” chemical treatment. I measured daily, treated at night, and generally obsessed over the slightest variance in levels. I used the supplied wrinkled hose connected to the skimmer and the supplied head on a long handle to clean the debris off the bottom of the pool daily. I washed, sanitized and cleaned the fiber filter weekly. I did it all. The pool got greener and greener over the summer. I shocked it so much the neighbors complained about the smell. Winter came, and the pool fell into disuse. I bought a barrel of chlorine powder and added it in 2lb lots every 2 weeks as instructed by my pool place. Spring of 2021, the bottom of the pool was covered with garbage and rotting leaves - it took 4 trash bags and 3 days in the pool to get it all, then we scrubbed (!) the bottom of the pool off with a rubber broom. A neighbor gave me her “pool vac”, a three wheeled thing that spent most of its time on its side at the far end of the hose. Again I poisoned the water for months. By the spring of 2022, with family coming for the spring break, I was getting desperate. The pool bottom was black with mold - again - and we spent several days just scrubbing while up to our shoulders in heavily chlorinated water. I threw the three wheeled cleaner away. After spending a day swimming in a friend’s pool, I asked how he kept his water so clean. I expounded on my tale of woe, and he lent me his Dolphin. I used it daily, and found that it was lifting all sorts of crap off the pool bottom. I quit pouring chlorine in. A month later, my water was clear, the bottom clean and not slimy, so I bought my own. Since that day, I have put “Roscoe” into the pool weekly, even during the winter, and the last two years have been bliss. I change out the pool filter twice a month, I add 2 tabs of chlorine to the skimmer twice a month, Roscoe cleans once a week, and I have ceased to be concerned about the water. It’s crystal clear, and I cannot say enough about this little robot. He is excellent. He is simple. He does a little dance when changing direction, and he cleans like a maid. Washing out his filter is too easy. After 2 years, he is still performing flawlessly. If you own an above ground pool, make life easy. Buy this. Best pool cleaner ever.
Yes, I would recommend this product to a friendThis thing is a great time saver. Instead of spending hours vacuuming the pool I just put the dolphin in the pool and let it do it's thing. It will even go up the wall every now and again. It even helped me keep the pool clean until I was able to get the filter going after uncovering/opening the pool.

Yes, I would recommend this product to a friendThis is the very best product I’ve ever bought for the pool. Does a fantastic job of cleaning my pool. Plug it in and let it go!!! Simple to operate and no work at all. Buy this vacuum cleaner and you’ll never regret it.
Yes, I would recommend this product to a friendI looked at multiple options for pool robots and decided the Dolphin Escape was the one to go with. That was two years ago and so far Bob (as he is affectionately termed) has been worth every penny. Bob cleans my 33 ft oval above ground pool so well and so conveniently that there is no comparison to what I could possibly do in his place. Also, I don't want to lug out all the things needed to clean and vacuum every day, which for us in South Texas, is what Bob had do through the oak pollen bloom and then the caterpillars, and then the June bugs, etc. So for me there are mostly pros, however I can think of a few cons: 1. It is heavy to get out of the water. I use a boat hook and bring the robot up to the edge to let the water drain out as much as possible, then haul it onto the deck. 2. The filter is a pain to clean when dry and doesn't seem to come as clean, so I have to spray it down while it is still wet. This isn't always convenient timing for me. 3. It will eat any pool toys that my kids leave on the bottom, and if big enough they will get stuck in the intake (Bob once ate a boat and got it lodged, he dragged it to the middle before finally quitting. I had to jump in to get him whereas usually I let him run until he reaches an edge and nab his handle with the boat hook. Not exactly his fault, but just a warning to make sure the toys are out before turning this guy loose.) 4. The on/off button on the controller gets hot, so I try to keep it in the shade as long as possible. The plastic around the button looks like it wants to bubble up slightly. So far, this has not caused any issues, more of a cosmetic thing. 5. It doesn't clean especially well around my stairs. That area is narrow and unless Bob hits it just right, it stays dirty. So although it wasn't an inexpensive purchase, I do not regret it, even with its few drawbacks. My advice - just buy it.

Yes, I would recommend this product to a friendThis cleaner works great. I place in the pool and turn it on, let it clean while I do other things in the yard. Plus I dont need to connect to my pool filter.
