GET TIME BACK

This is 100% worth the investment. The time saved by using the Wave 100 has been enormous! Have a large pool (30 x 60) and in a very wooded area with high usage from membership and swim school, we need a vacuum that could handle the workload and free up our day from manually do this. The Wave 100 has been everything we were told it would be and then some! 100% recommend!!!!

Dolphin Wave 100

The Dolphin Wave 100 performs well and keeps the pool floor clean! Easy to use and compact enough for easy storage.

works perfect for our application

This dolphin works perfectly for the 3 pools we have. It does seem to get stuck on our grates if it is going at full speed but on the slower speed it works perfect.

Main pool operator/CPO

Your Dolphin robotic pool cleaner is a nice unit. It does a very nice job cleaning our pool. The only dislike from everyone that uses it is the cover over the little propeller on top of the unit. The older one we have turns off , real easy. This new unit has two screws to remove the cover. We remove the cover everytime we use it because of hair, etc. How long before the screws strip, don't hold. L feel it is a very poor design on Maytronics.

We Have 2.

We have had a few problems in the 5 years of operation using these units in rotation. Routine replacement of the belts, pads, foam, and any low cost, low maintenance parts that are fairly accessible, along with 3- 6 times a week cleaning of the filter and impeller have likely helped in the limited number of repair issues. Due to certain less-careful user habits, the handle has cracked on one unit, the pool cord has been replaced on both and the equipment rack has had to be repaired/replaced several times. Due to standard wear, we have replaced the sidewalls on both units as the bottom corners wear off and the drive belts become prone to coming off the wheel tracks under normal operational torque. There have been some breaks of the filter frame/spring/plastic components, but having a backup unit and some standard stock parts has kept our commercial pool always clean.

Mostly great, but gets stuck on drains

Had an older blue 80 that worked great for 5 years. Had to replace, and upgraded to the Wave100 to have the bag option (campground pool with some trees nearby, so the cartridge units fill far too quickly). Vacuums great, easy to clean the bag, nice cycle options. However, it frequently gets stuck on our VGB drains. Sometimes this is 5 hours into a cycle, but sometimes 5 minutes in and stuck. Have tried bottom drains open or closed, still gets stuck. Shallow pool, so can't attach clips to the drain (as some have suggested) since people step there. Others on line suggested operating in slow mode, and while that seems to have reduced the frequency, it still gets stuck. Calling Maytronics is frustrating, for while very helpful with any residential unit issue (and even some fixes offered for those lower priced models), it is impossible to reach anyone in the commercial division. They all suggest taking it to an authorized dealer for "repairs"...but there is nothing broken. Other on-line users have suggested a different roller can be installed, but that option does not appear available for the Wave100, since can't speak to anyone in the commercial department. As much as I want to really love my new expensive robot, I honestly can't wait for my old 80 to get fixed so I can have a machine that runs for the whole cycle. The only other issue is that with our zero-depth entry pool, while the wave100 does well reversing when approaching shore, it does tend to "turtle" itself if approaching the side walls in a depth of 12-15 inches (something the older blue 80 never did). I am hoping that this review elicits a reply from Maytronics commercial, as I would gladly give it 5 stars and recommend to everyone if it did not get stuck on the drain during every cycle. Noting that I wanted to get this unit in 2022, but was supply chain back-ordered, and was very happy to see it available this year. Hoping there is some fix available, or may look to return unit once older blue machine is repaired (even though fewer features) until a new version of the wave100 is produced that does not get stuck.

Good Machine

So we bought this for a municipality pool to replace our Tiger 2, i am happy with machine performance but not happy with the bag filters and wish it used cartridge style filters. I find the dirt and debris get caught in filter and very hard to get out, and i think that this dirt and debris is going back into pool upon next use. if you had time and staff to power wash or have a washer and dryer on hand that may help.
